Some people find computers threatening. The very presence of
a screen in the room gives them the shivers. Now, it's partly
because the thing reminds them of work that still needs doing,
or of hours spent in its company when the world carries on outside.
And it's partly the look of it - this big, gaping mouth that
lurks there in the corner, waiting for a feed.

The Company

Founded by Marcus Hutton in late 2002, Brighton-based, Talking
Websites (www.talkingwebsites.co.uk), creates professional voice-over
commentaries for websites.
Following a successful two year stint as a well-known character
in Brookside, Marcus decided to launch Talking Websites as a
development of his regular TV and radio voice-over work. TalkingWebsites.co.uk
are a subsidiary of Marcus's audio production company,

Marcus has provided voice-overs for over 1500 campaigns with clients
including many high profile brands such as, the National Lottery,
Sainsbury's, Renault, L'Oreal, Kellogg's, Peugeot, Mars and The Times.
Spot Productions Ltd have created audio and video for a number of
online and broadcast clients. Radio commercial clients include:
Choice FM, The Marcher Radio Group, Arrow FM, X-cel FM and Surf
FM. Online audio training projects include work for Worth Media
, Whiteloop Ltd and Fieldwork Educational Publishing. Spot Productions
recently created all of the video and audio elements for a Lottery
funded E Museum with Harvard Consultancy, which were presented by
Toyah Willcox.
Talking Websites has an expanding stable of voice-overs to choose
from. The audio files are recorded via ISDN studio links, optimised
and compressed in Spot's Pro Tools studio and then converted to Flash
files. The files are configured to play instantly on the users browser,
with no waiting time for connection or download. The flash files
add no more "weight" to a web page than a small jpeg image.
